the top program probably depends more on wnat type of OMS you are interested in doing. trauma, orthognathic, etc. you will certainly get exposure to all of it at any program, but some seem to get a little more of one or another.

I disagree. There are still many programs where you may get too little exposure to one area of OMS over another. When interviewing I found several that had what I considered not enough trauma, or not enough orthognathic.
Good 4 years: MCV/VCU, Knoxville, Minnessota, Parkland (when its offered, and I don't believe it is every year-same goes for Baylor..sometimes they have 4 year spots)
I've heard Memphis is good, heard Iowa is good, heard Galveston is good...
I'd avoid Ohio State like the plague; has/had a reputation of being good, but they've lost faculty and don't take trauma from the hospital they used to...residents were very unhappy there when I externed last year...one had even transferred because he wasn't getting enough training, 2 others were looking to transfer.
I'd avoid Indiana-was good except they've had faculty problems...one resident has transferred already too.
On the east coast I believe UNC is good. Id also look into Albert Einstein, UMDNJ, Jefferson and Miami.
I dont know much about Tufts, BU and Temple.
I have heard great things about Iowa. I always thought Indiana was good. Dont really know much about the west coast but i am sure UCLA and USC are good. (UCSF assuming is excellent especially for oncology)
