I had a quick question regarding TFE #22 on DAT Bootcamp. I don't want to post the problem, but for those of you with a current subscription, it can be found by just looking at the TFE problems and going to #22.

I have been looking at the problem for a while now, and I can't understand the answer at all. More specifically, I don't understand where the solid line on the end view originates from; there doesn't appear to be any elevation/depth change on the end view surface. Could anybody offer some help please? 🙂 Thanks in advance, I really appreciate it!

Dono if I can help you since I hate TFE, but are you talking about test 1 #22?

If you go to the perceptual ability section under classroom and sort by just TFE, it is #22 out of the 75 of their TFE problems. Sorry for the confusion!

Answer A: There are only 2 dashed lines from the front view of this object, it wouldn't work.
Answer B: There would be 4 dashed lines from the front view, plus another solid line on the far right of the end view.
Answer C: Correct
Answer D: There would be 4 dashed lines from the front and 5 from the end view, that wouldn't match up to the other faces provided.

The solid lines comes from the slant on the bottom of the top view. That's a change in depth we can directly see, so it's solid.
