Top Score vs. DAT achiever??

hey all! anyone have any insight to which is "better" - Top score or DAT achiever - - also any good resources for Quant and RC??? thanks!

I guess it depends on how your brain operates. Get Achiever if you want a trial by fire. It kicks pretty much everyones rear end and gets you wanting to study more. Get topscore if you cant handle the mental anguish and dread that goes along with not doing well on achiever. I prefer achiever.

I bought both DAT Topscore and DAT Achiever. A week before the test I took a full length test each day for 6 days. On the 7th day I rest (Sounds familiar...lol?)

I bought Top score, and what I got in the real test was almost exactly score in the practice exam. It's a great material to predict ur DATscore.

I agree with the above comments to some extent -topscore for Biology and PAT were too easy. QR, RC, GC, OR resembles the DAT more.

On a scale 1-10, I rate it a 6

Get both. For QR, do all the Kaplan stuff too.

I was only planning to get DAT Destroyer and Crack DAT PAT in addition to Kaplan '04 and various science textbooks for studying. Other than not being able to gauge my scores like some posters have said, will I be severely disadvantaged compared to having those extra simulation tests to work with (though, I don't know if Achiever is right for me as I don't find discouragement motivating)?

so you are not going to practice any full lengths on computer at all? I dont think that's a good idea...

OK, i have a question. I know achiever is harder than the real thing in the sciences. But, how is topscore compared to the real thing. I know this question has been asked/answered numerous times, but i found the first 2 topscores to be alright and i got mostly 19 in all sciences but the 3rd topscore i dropped down to 17 bio 19 chem 17 ochem. I feel topscore is harder for ochem, and these scores scare me cause im scheduled for the dat in a week. Anyone else feel simiar about topscore test 3??

Bio from topscore was way too easy and Gchem on topscore is harder than the actual test. As for Ochem, kaplan's practice test is the BEST!!! gaurantee! lastly, for RC and QR it just takes practice
