I am planning on taking the DAT in 2 weeks. I have been studying pretty hard, and using top score and kaplan for my practice tests. My last TOP SCORE test I did very well in some sections and average in others. I just wanted to know how others compare using those tests to the actual test. I feel like Bio and Gchem is way too hard, while PAT and QR is very easy. These are the scores i got on my last test. If anyone has an idea, please tell me how to compare this to the actual test. Thanks.

BIO 18
Chem 19
OCHEM 25
PAT 23
QR 29
R.C. 20
TS 20

Bio- Topscore is similar, but asks a couple really random questions. The level of difficulty on the actual DAT is actually pretty similar. So if your scoring 18+ on topscore, then expect around that on the actual thing.
Chem- I personally though chem on topscore was more difficult because some of the questions were confusing. DAT chem is pretty straightforward, so if you know your **** you will be good to go.
OChem- If you are getting a 25 on topscore then you can get low-mid 20's on the real thing. It's not difficult.
QR- I made 20's on all 3 topscore tests. The problems on each test were pretty similar. The QR on the real DAT takes longer, but I wouldn't say it's that much harder. I struggled making equations for the word problems and certain geometry problems, then completely ran out of time
RC- pretty similar, but Topscore doesn't include subjective questions, which the real thing does. The real DAT also jumps around more. Like the answer to the first question could be in the last paragraph of the passage, making the search and destroy method tougher. The real DAT also always throws one hard passage at you where all of the topscore passages were pretty simple. If you struggle on that hard passage, it can mess your timing up pretty bad. I got pianoed.
PAT- Topscore is pretty similar in overall difficulty. Some sections are easier though. I made 21,21,23. A 23 on the last one because it was practically the same test as #2, so I remembered answers. But because you made a 23, you can make in the 20's on the real thing.

That fact you made those scores on Topscore means you will most likely be fine come test day. As long as you are making 18+ on all the sections by the 3rd test you should feel pretty confident.

I think you're in great shape. Check out my DAT breakdown, I posted my topscore scores there.

I just took the DAT at the end of December. The only thing I used to prepare was topscore pro. i thought all of the sections were comparable to the real thing, except for the PAT. The PAT on the real thing is much much harder (I thought) So consider finding another way to practice it.

Just took a practice test of dat achiever, and got an AA of 17, which is 5 lower than what i got on my last test on top score. Achiever seems reallyyyyy hard. Is it comparable to the real thing?
