Ozone decomposes according to the equation
2 O3 (g) --> 302 (g)

There is an initial fast step and then a slow step find the rate law....

O3 (g) <--> 02 (g) + O (g) fast reversible

O3 (g)
+ O (g) --> 2 O2 slow rate determining step

K {
O3} {O} is the answer don't really know how they got it and why 2 O2 wouldnt be in the rate equation .?????

A chemical reaction can only go as fast as the slowest step in the reaction (rate determining step). Thus, O3 (g) + O (g) --> 2 O2 is that step. The rate depends on the reactants raised to their coefficient values. Rate = k [O3]^1[O]^1 is the answer.
