I have been taking practice tests on TopScore and don't really understand what the PaceSetter on the bottom of the screen is. It had a #2 for example...what does that mean?

Also, I took the Reading Comp. test in the 2004 ADA DAT pamphlet and I don't understand how to find out my standard score. The pamphlet doesn't really explain it well for RC. What number am I looking for in the RC Raw Score column (the number I got right out of 50? or the number I got wrong out of 50?)

thanks guys!

Kudos to you for putting in the effort to prepare for the DAT!!! The pace setter helps you finish all the questions in a section before the time for the section runs out. It tells you what question # you should be on. Say for instance there are 100 questions in the science section and you are given 90 minutes to finish. 45 minutes into the test you are still stuck on question # 10, at that time the pace setter will show some number like 50. That tells you that you better answer the questions much FASTER!!!

I struggled to finish all of the questions in time when I first started taking practice tests. Taking lots of tests helped. Time wasn't such an issue for me on the real DAT.

About the RC score. I'm pretty sure it is the # correct.

Thanks a lot!
