topscore grade compared to real DAT

Is the real DAT scores gonna be higher or lower than the topscore scores?

for example, i'm getting 18 on BIO 🙁
would it go up or down in real DAT?

From what everyone else have told me it's about a point or two higher. But, you want to aim for 20's on Topscore. Been told by the thread😀

i got 18s in sciences and 17 in pat on topscore, so does that mean the real DAT would be like 20s in sciences in 19 in PAT or 16 in sciences and 15 in PAT>😕

For most people, and myself included, scores go up 1 to 2 points on average per section on the real DAT. Of course that is not necesarily true for everyone and there is no guarantee that your score will be better as it all depends on the questions you get, but your scores will likely be better on the real DAT.

So yes, if you average an 18 on your Topscore DATs then you will probably get a 19 or 20 on your real test.

Also, I don't think that rule applies to the PAT section though. What you score on Topscore should be pretty close to what you will score on the DAT.

all my scores went up 2-3 points on the real thing except QR which dropped 4!

My dat scores were a lot higher than the topscore although I dident know any of this at the time.. so... mabye knowing that it wont work that way for you who knows...


Try as hard as you can on those top scores treat them like the real deal..

But yeah I came up from highest ever aca of 17 on the topscore to 20 on the real test..

PAT I felt was harder on the real test but sciense were a lot easier..

Question about TopScore- I just to the G.Chemsection of the TopScore (probably shouldnt have?) anyway I score a 18. Now when i come back to take the test again (the full test) will it be new questions that come up? or is the database of question only enough for one test. I can say that if those question came up again on that test i would be able to pick them out just by memory not knowledge. are there more questions or is the data base emptied once the test is taken?

My topscore was right on...maybe a section went up or down a point but overall was the same for all three topscore tests and the real DAT. Mine was a 24/24/22 for reference. I think topscore was very accurate prep for the real thing. Good luck!
