In Topscore Test 2 OCHEM #72 it says that KMnO4 doesn't test for the presence of an aldehyde or ketone functional group, yet I thought a positive KMnO4 test will show there is an aldehyde, not just an alkene? And also, if this answer is based on a positive test not showing the presence of a ketone, a positive Schiff's test shows an absence of the ketone as well
