Looks like scholareware has all of us predental students in check!

is the topscore canadian dat version any good? i used barrons only to study for the 1st dat, and boy was I un-pleased with my first dat results!

Well, I don't know about the Canadian Barrons DAT book, but the US one is full of wrong answers. Don't use it for anything but the PAT section, which it seems to be more difficult than other study books (i.e... more like the DAT's)

I think they've done us a great service. What a deal on a great product!

Definately worth the 50 bucks, thats for sure. They have done a good job of making sure nobody sells used copies is what i meant.

I so agree regarding the Barron's book, almost every test has wrong answers sometimes I fee like I want to call or write them and yell at them. BUt eh their PAT is pretty good and I think the angles are the closest to the real thing (but still way too much easier)

That's for sure---including their review notes. For example, they have the requirement for protic and aprotic solvents in Sn1 and Sn2 mixed up in the review section, among others! Warnings have been sent out exhaustingly about the mistakes in Barron's. Please---DO NOT STUDY BARRON'S, FOR YOU WILL BE MISSLED AND SENT DOWN THE INCORRECT PATH!

I think Barron's is good. You just need to be smart about things and be aware of their mistakes.

Kind of ridicuous, though, isn't it? You're buying a book to study a topic and have know about the errors beforehand in order to avoid them?

Kaplan and TopScore are the only way to go for the DAT. Everything else is miserable by comparison.
