For an international veterinarian who passed the NAVLE which city is better in terms of veterinary vacancies and internships and training opportunities? Is it Toronto or Ottawa

It depends on exactly what you're looking for..shadowing? rotating internship? job?

Ottawa doesn't have any clinics that have an internship program through VIRMP. Toronto (and surrounding GTA) have a few clinics (VEC, 404, and MOVEH) that have rotating internship programs. Toronto has more vet clinics and therefore more jobs vacancies and opportunities to shadow.

Socialstigma, I think Alta Vista in Ottawa does rotating internships. Regardless, Toronto's the better option.

Oh ok, that must be new since I applied for rotating internships! I know they've always had a surgical internship but didn't think they had a rotating program.
