Total Number Of Hours Over Span Of Experience???

FOr the extracurricular section on the application,
If I have played the piano for like 10 years(so 3 years in college), do I just write the total hours spent during college or hours spent during 10 years???😕😕

I believe just college, but when you describe the activity you can mention you have played piano for 10 years.

Eh, for one of my activities that I did my senior year of high school AND last year, I included the total number of hours. I put my starting date as my senior year and my end date as last year, and in my description I just said during which years I did the activity. My app basically says, " I volunteered during my senior year of high school and again starting in August of 2012."

On that note, I think it's annoying that you can't put multiple start/end dates for activities. What if you did it for a while, stopped, and then picked it back up? It makes it confusing because you can't do this.

I don't know that they go over these things in THAT much detail, though. Surely, the aren't looking for things to nitpick. So, you've played for ten years? Great! They aren't going to scoff and say, "Aha! This person put down hours from before college! Denied!"
