Hey just wondering has anyone heard back from Touro (Manhattan) yet? I sent in both PTCAS and supplement application about a month ago and haven't heard back yet.

They emailed me about two weeks after submitting the supplemental app that they sent it to the formal review committee and would get back to me with their decision as late as June 1st. They are on a rolling admissions basis so I'm hoping they will get back to me sooner.

They got back to me this afternoon, I have been accepted (Manhattan)!

They got back to me earlier today about Bayshore. I have been accepted as well! Best of luck to you.

Does anyone have any information about the program? Is it a reputable program? What is the class size like for each distinctive campus? Please let me know with any information anyone may have about the program! Thanks a lot guys.

Also, do you think there is a likelihood of switching campuses from Bayshore to Manhattan? I was going to call, but I'm not sure if it would be an appropriate question to ask admissions... It would just be much easier for me to commute to the city instead of Bayshore.

Hey guys, I’m currently in my first semester at bay shore. If you guys have any questions ask away

Got my Bayshore acceptance today but don't know much about the program what do you guys know?

Do the students generally like it at Touro? How is the program in general? What are some clinical affiliation options open to students? Do people generally live close to campus?

My classmates and I love the program, all the professors are extremely nice and are there for you to help succeed. The cadaver lab is awesome, I know that sounds weird but it’s a great way to learn anatomy. I don’t know all the information about affiliations, but I believe we have 4: a 6 week, 2 8 weeks, and a 16 week, which is more than most programs. You can choose from a list of clinics that previous students have done or start a new contract with a clinic that’s not on the list but depending on the setting it may be harder than others. Most of students are from Long Island so we still live at home but the few from out of state live pretty close.

I was accepted for the Manhattan program and asked to switch to bay shore and they said it wasn't a problem!

Thanks so much for the info! Are the resources available to the Manhattan campus also available to the Bayshore students? For example, is there a cadaver lab on the Manhattan campus that is open 24/7 as well?

No cadaver lab at Manhattan. The lab is open at bayshore whenever the building is open.

when did you have your hunter interview? I had mine last Friday and they said I won't hear back until mid jan.

Update: It is entirely possible to switch campuses if you would like to. I received an email yesterday telling me that my admission location was switched to the Manhattan campus from Bayshore. So, if this is of concern to you, definitely don't freak out! Seems like Touro will work with you.

I have something about an extra English class. It says to send them a syllabus or course description if you believe a course you've taken satisfies the requirement

Hi guys! I just got accepted to the Manhattan campus this week! I think I’m going to send in my deposit. Has anyone else committed to touro yet? My boyfriend just graduated from their program last year so let me know if you have any questions!

I just got accepted to the Manhattan campus this past week as well! Does your boyfriend have any opinion on the research requirement of the program? They seemed to talk about it a lot at the open house, so I'm just wondering how time consuming/demanding that aspect is.

Congrats!! I asked him for you and he said it is a huge component of the program but that the amount of time you put into research depends on a lot of factors like what the research is based on, the study design, etc. He said some people had surveys and time was spent processing data, which he said took significantly less time and effort than those who had experimental designs and months of administering interventions. He said it's definitely a bonus though and found it to be very valuable.

Hope that helps!

This happened to me last year. They were pretty lenient for me, if you took any writing intensive science classes it should fulfill it.

Hey y'all! I'm also a first year at Touro Bayshore! I'm from out of state, so if anyone has any questions about where to live or anything, ask away! I have a classmate who is looking for a roommate right now if any of you are interested

Thank you,

Hi guys,I got accepted to Touro DPT Manhatten yesterday and will be attending!!

I will also be attending the Manhattan campus! Does anyone want to start a facebook group to keep in touch?

Does anyone have any input and feedback as to how the program at Toruo manhattan is compared to Touro bayshore? Such as curriculums, the different day schedules and etc. I also know that Manhattan does not have a cadaver lab which I was slightly upset about as I was looking forward to working with one. Any input comparing the two would be very helpful!

Hey everyone. I know this is an older post but was wondering if any current students can tell me how they are liking Touro? I’m starting this fall and would love to hear more from current students. Thank you 🙂
