Touro DPT 2021

Hey everyone. I know this is an older post but was wondering if any current students can tell me how they are liking Touro? I’m starting this fall and would love to hear more from current students. Thank you 🙂
I am waiting for a reply. I just submitted the supplemental app yesterday (I applied pretty late). I hope to get into Bayshore. How long did it take to get a response after submitting the supplemental app? Also, do you mind sharing which other programs you applied to and your acceptances? I only applied to LIU and touro because I planned to take a year off between undergrad and pt school but gave it a shot anyway and was left with these deadlines in NY at the time. Thanks!

Oh wow that's crazy. Hopefully we both get acceptances soon. Did you get into any others?

Speaking from experience i applied very late during the 2021 cycle (mid feb) and it took about 3-4 months post supplemental app to hear back.. this cycle I chose to just apply early decision and even then i had to call admissions on the verdict date to hear back

Are you committed there? What do you think about their program?

I am yes! Bay Shore Campus.... Location and Tuition were biggest pull factors to the school for me, I had talked to a few people who attended and they all had nothing but good things to say about the faculty and staff and the one on one feel of the school...I also work in a practice where the two PTs are graduates of the program who had similar things to say.. Its definitely not the flashiest program but it fit what i was looking for

That's great, is the tuition different for in state residents? I applied to the Manhattan campus, do you know anything about that location?

No i believe the tuition is the same .... I do not know too much about the Manhattan campus besides it being in a pretty prime location as far as the city goes.... I do know that they do not have a cadaver lab, and the bay shore campus does but that's about it sorry!
