Hey! Just wondering if you ended up going to Touro. If you did, how do you like it? Im currently waiting for decisions, so if you could talk about your experience with the program I would really appreciate it!

How do you like your overall experience in the PT program? Also, what advice would you give for incoming students in terms of preparation for the summer course and PT school in general? I have students telling me to not to brush up on anatomy prior to the summer class and to just relax, since everything is taught in school. However, it's hard to get myself to not do any studying beforehand haha. & Last, I hear some classes are really unorganized there, so is that true and how do you overcome that? Thanks in advance!

I’ve really enjoyed the program so far. We have a small program and TUN does a really good job with giving us resources to be successful. I would recommend trying to attend a smaller program if given the choice I think the interaction with the class above you and the professors is a lot easier if you need help. That’s just my opinion from talking to people who went to larger programs and my experience at TUN.

I know it’s cliche and everyone says enjoy your time off before PT school starts but it really is the best advice. Trying to study in advance for anatomy might help you a little but in my opinion it’s not going to make a difference and you are better off enjoying your life before school starts. My advice is try and get a routine down with exercise, meal prepping, and making time to study so that when you start it will be less of an adjustment period. I know you are probably going to be working before starting school but just think of classes as your hours at work and you’re gonna have to study once you’re done. Use your lunch or before work to get your exercise in so you can just worry about studying after class is over.

I actually think for the most part things are pretty organized. Sometimes assignments can be a little vague and you have to figure out what professors want but this is a doctoral program, its not undergrad it’s our job to figure things out when we are confused. I think TUN does a good job of listening to students and changing things if the students want things done in a certain way. The professors are all awesome so far and more than willing to do whatever it takes to help, which is really important. Hope this helps.

Thanks so much! I plan to placing my deposit in january but I have another school I'm still waiting to hear back from. Before speaking to any students I heard TUN wasn't that great, but I've been hearing more good stuff about the program.

Also a current student at TUN. PM me with any questions! More than willing to give you my opinion on the program.
