I live in NY and am just starting to look into schools. I have heard great things about NYCOM but had never heard of TOUROCOM until last night. Is this a new program? Does anyone know the reputation of this program?

Yes, TouroCOM will begin classes with its inaugural class next week. It is located right in the heart of Harlem, across the street from the Apollo theater. The building itself has been completely renovated from head to toe and will as state of the art as you can get. TouroCOM also has hospital affiliations with hospitals all across New York city, not just in Harlem.

I suggest you put any reservations you have about a "new" school aside until you meet the faculty and see the building. Any specific questions you have Mr. Figueroa will be able to answer (you can find his email address at www.touro.edu/med) Also if you have the time an are in the area, stop by the administration offices, they would be more than willing to show you around and answer your questions.

Thanks for the information. Are you in this class. How exciting-a new medical school in NY. That is a pretty rare occurence! I will look in to the program.

Yea it is really exciting especially because the other schools in the city are nearly impossible to get into.
