Has anyone heard anything about either the Towson post-bacc program or the University of Vermont program?....

I am at towson now, not doing a postbac, but just taking pre-calc and calc while applying to post-bacs. Have started to look into their program though and have a pamphlet and am going to talk to the Chair - Dr. Frank Milio.

I met a physicians asistant student who did Towson's postbac and he really liked it. From what I do know so far, I can say that I don't have a great vibe from Towson overall, though all of the professors I've had so far have been good and very nice. The classes I've taken are relatively easy. Not sure if this is good or bad.... I get the impression that the postbac program just allows you to take premed classes with the undergrads and have the same access to advisors.

One note - I went to the office to ask about affiliations with hospitals, information about places to volunteer or shadow docs. They had nothing and seemed really surprised by my question. Hm. They're right by Baltimore though, which may have more hospitals than anyplace else on the planet, so it is very possible to do this on your own.
