Hey guys, has anyone heard anything from Towson that didn't apply early admission? I applied regular admission and still haven't heard anything

Same thing - I had emailed them earlier this month and was given the same answer; the middle to the end of March! I heard from a current student that this was the first year that they used OTCAS and have had a HUGE increase in applicants from past application pools.

Do you know how many applications they received? I guess they only have 20 seats left after early admission.

Last year this time, they had already sent out letters (First week of March), but the person handling the application process is new to the position. The former guy moved to another department.

Do anyone mind sharing their stats for towson..im soo nervous! and i just got rejected from kean university

I just spoke with the admissions department for OT at Towson. She said they were hoping to have letters out by the END of NEXT week!

I heard the same thing on Friday! Maybe it was an early April Fools joke and they will be sending them out earlier this week!

I wonder how many other programs have waited this long to send out decision letters?

I just spoke with a different person at Towson. She said they hope to mail the letters Wednesday, but it might be later. She also said they got 600 applications for 20 spots (20 were filled early decision). I asked if the late decision would cause them to accept more people (because it might lower their yield), and she said no.

Yeah, I heard their application pool has doubled every year - last year, they got about 400 applicants, when the year prior they only had about 200. I am in the DC area, but did not apply (because I don't want to live in B-more, or commute from NoVA), but had a friend who did. She got that information from talking to the admissions people. OT in general is becoming VERY competitive, so I'm not surprised, especially when the DC metro area has almost no OT programs.GMU, GW, Marymount, Georgetown, AU - none of them have it, and they all have some or all of the other popular health professions.

Additionally, it is the ONLY OT program in Maryland as well! They also have an undergraduate major for OT, so I imagine that their students get first priority. Very competitive! Good luck to all!

Any updates on acceptances from Towson? I plan on applying for 2014 admission and would love to know more about it. Stats (whether accepted or not) would be much appreciated!
