Toxicology fellowship after being an attending

Hi,
Just wanted to ask if it is common to return to toxicology fellowship after 2-3 years as an attending. I have been planning to apply to toxicology for a while but due to life factors needed to have a job for several years to put myself in a better financial situation. Is this uncommon?

Yes, pretty common. Some go straight through, some go back after a few years, some go back after other fellowships or after a long time out of residency. Even if it wasn't, though, who cares?
