I'm hoping someone on here can give me some advice. Long story short, I didn't pass TMOD which is needed for a TPA requirement. Since NBEO is so nice and helpful and only offers the exam twice a year, what is new grad to do in this situation? Work under someone else's license?

My understanding is that unless you live in a select few states (eg New York), you will need to pass TMOD to even apply for state license to practice. Without TMOD, you only do refraction. I’d say email your state board and ask to be sure what you can and cannot do.
