I am having some difficulty finding the Hyperlearning Verbal Workbook. I found a 2009 version for about 10 bucks! But the 2010 and 2011 version is 100+! I am taking the June 21, 2012 MCAT and was wondering from those who have used this book if it is alright for me study off of the 2009 version?

Do they change drastically from edition to edition?
Would it be better off to just by the newer edition? Better safe than sorry?

Thanks a ton!

they mainly edit their mistakes instead of adding in extra passages but that book is probably marked all over + contains highlights , or probably worn out badly...so I would contact the seller to make sure

Can anyone weigh in on the 2006 TPRH BS, verbal/writing, and verbal workbook? It's the only copy I've been able to get but I'm hesitant to use it since the MCAT changed in 2007.

I've compared 2006 with newer versions. They are basically the same. Actually I also have the 2001,2004 and 2006 versions, and they are 95% identical, reflecting the changes in orgo- which I dont review from TPRH anyway, I use TBR and EK for that,

PS is the same. (mostly i think)

New VR workbook has about 20 more passages and they are shorter too (reflecting CBT lenght) when compared to the versions I have. Some older pasager have been edited shorter with fewer q's i think too.

I did not buy the new one BTW, waste of money, even more so if you have other sources.

Alright, thanks a lot. I'm going to stick with the 2006.

Is a 2007 TPR Hyperlearning made for the old version of the MCAT or the new one? Does anyone know?

The passages from the Verbal Workbook are consistent in length with EK 101 Verbal passages (~60 lines) with 5-7 questions per passage so I'm tempted to think it's for the newer MCAT but I have yet to take a real full-length so I have no idea.

Someone posted a question from a passage in a 2009 edition TPRH VW. I looked in my TPRH 2006 VW and I had the exact same passage # and question/question #. That was enough to convince me that the 2006 TPRH VW is the same as the current ones.

Awesome. Thanks!
