Hi,
I am finding some of these real hard. I am finding out that I just don't understand some of the passage very well within the given amount of time. I keep doing the passages in the hope of getting better. But it is pretty frustrating. Do others feel this way?

I thought the verbal passages were tough at first but they were really helpful for me. I am a "reader" for the most part but TPR really taught me to adjust to the different types of passages. I though TPR was excellent and I did OK on verbal. Keep working and don't rush yourself. Good luck!

I personally find TPR verbal hard. Just keep going at it, there is really no other advice.

Maybe I have a different perspective, because I started studying EK verbal before my TPR course started. Anyway, I was getting sort of killed on EK 101 verbal, it was a sad sight. Then TPR started, and my first couple of TPR passages were brutal as well... just because they seemed so so different from EK's Qs, in that they were far more "literal"/"detail-oriented".

So it took a bit of time to make the adjustment, but after a while, I started to "see" what kind of answers TPR was looking for, and it became much easier to do the passages. Now, I think they're a lot simpler than the EK ones, which I haven't done in a while. Maybe if I start doing them again, they'll seem easier too.

Anyway, I guess what I've found is that sometimes practicing on different material may help. I really think having that contrast in my mind between EK & TPR, once I started doing TPR, helped me eventually "get" what they were looking for.
