Anyone prefer one over the other for this new MCAT? Not sure which to purchase, and I don't trust the amazon reviews (from either side, could be faked)... In the end I'm going to use the AAMC outline, but in terms of review content which is the better one?

I have TPR for psych/socio and I like it so far. Also the fact that there are a set of FSQs and 1 passage after every chapter is a good incentive to purchase TPR. I'm using TBR for biochem.

Thanks, what are you using for FL's? Are the old AAMC FL's useless? I'm so far looking to get the 3 TBR ones out in March.

Hmmm..good question. I plan to use AAMC (1), TPR (3 with purchase of psych/socio book or any other content book), NS (5 for $149) and Kaplan diagnostic (1). I'm waiting for TBR & GS to release their exams later this Spring. I'm not planning to take the exam until early summer so I'm just focusing on content & exhausting all the practice passages (from old materials + KA+ TBR) right now.

It seems from what I hear that TPR is usually a better option. But I can tell you, as a customer, TPR doesnt cover a lot of biochem topics that are listed on the AAMC outline (carbohydrates, fatty acid and protein metabolism). Luckly I'm taking biochem this semester so ill have that part covered by the time my test date role around.

TPR for Psych/Socio. I like it so far. Their passages are really good and I've compared them to the AAMC questions int he 2015 guide and they are pretty similar. Just sucks that there is only one passage per chapter. In any case, I will be using their 3 FLs, which is why I bought the book in the first place.

Keep an eye on this forum here, http://forums.studentdoctor.net/threads/30-mcat-study-habits-the-cbt-version.503250/

No one knows which is better yet because this is too new. I'm using EK and although I like it, I will not know how well it's prepared me until I take an AAMC practice test or the real thing. 2015 test starts in April. I will start watching the 30+ forum after that to see which strategies are working for some people.
