Traditional Masters vs. SMP

For someone who reinvented themselves, is a traditional masters (Biomedical Engineering) looked upon as favorably as an SMP?

No, graduate degrees and programs vary so widely, that generally they do not nearly have the same impact on an adcom as does an SMP.

Thanks for the clarification, looks like i'm getting two masters degrees then!
