Train and run a marathon during first year?

I will be starting at KSUCPM in August. There is a marathon near the school toward the end of September (Akron Marathon). I am wondering if there are any students who have done a marathon during their first year. I am married and have 2 kids, so that will also be taking some of my time. Are the first few months too busy to be able to squeeze about 15 hours a week of training into the schedule?

From what I hear from first year students at the school I'm going to attend, yes. Many of them say they barely have time for their families because of the academic demand of the first year. Good luck.

If you can prioritize your time VERY well, then it is possible. We have several students at my school who train as well.
