hey, anyone who has looked into this, how variable are the transitional yr programs? the few i've looked at seem quite different.

was wondering, basically, if anyone came across programs where it was possible to avoid surgery and ob?, I don't want to do those again...

Why don't you just do a pre-lim year in medicine? Then you won't have to do surg or ob, and you'll probably get better training too.

Doing an interneal medicine based TY would be helpful, since you might need to ruu a rehab unit w/o medicine coverage and you basic knowledge of IM is essential.

hey , thanks, sure i realize prelim in IM is a good option, i guess i was hoping to get some solid IM exposure from a TY program, but also be able to do a decent amount of elective time in PM&R related fields/subspecialties..
