Hey guys,

I posted this question in the DO Forum already and received my answer in regards to AACOMAS, but I need to know how AMCAS works for this particular issue as well since I am applying to both MD and DO schools this cycle.

I recently met with an admissions advisor for the college of medicine in my town. One of the main things he told me to do to improve my application from last cycle was to take a class or two at the local university to show that I am still learning and keeping my mind sharp. He told me this after I had already submitted my primary AMCAS and had already sent in my transcript from the university I graduated from. My question is this: is there any way for me to take this new class in the fall and not have to resubmit my AMCAS and go through verification again? I wanted to have my app sent in early, and I'm afraid I'll hit some major delays if I decide to take this class. Any advice?

Thanks!

no there is not. it is something you mention in secondaries and interview

Thank you for your reply. I'm sorry if this is an ignorant question, but I was under the impression that schools view it negatively if you don't send in all of the transcripts for all of the undergraduate classes that you've taken. Would that be the case in this situation? I'm just trying to figure out if the class is worth the effort/money.
