Hello, I'm rather confused with how to tackle sending official transcripts to Optomcas. Should I order them from my colleges, then send the sealed envelopes to Optomcas? Or do I have my colleges send the transcripts to Optomcas directly? Also, I need to have my own copies of the transcripts to properly write the coursework info for the application, correct? Thanks.

Transcripts must be sent DIRECTLY from your college registrar to OptomCAS in a sealed envelope. No transcripts issued to the student and then mailed to OptomCAS will be accepted. When you are going to request that your transcripts be sent to OptomCAS, tell your college registrar's office to give you a student copy of your transcript. That way, you can enter all the coursework that is required to be filled out with the OptomCAS application. Hope this helps.

On the transcript page of the OptomCAS, there should be instructions on printing a sheet that you need to fill out and give to the Registrar as well. This has your OptomCAS ID such that when they receive the transcript, they will know who to match the transcript up with. But yes, the school has to directly send the transcript. Just don't forget the sheet as well.

Does anyone know if it is okay to send my transcripts to OptomCAS before the cycle begins (just so I have it out of the way now), or did everyone applying early wait until July 15th to send their transcripts in?

I believe you'll have to wait for the application cycle to open up in order to send them in.
