Transcript Dilemma

Hey folks! Im applying MD/DO this cycle (post-bacc non-trad student). I’m completing my last quarter of physics, and grades don’t come out until June 22 🙃 I’m using Parchment to send all my transcripts, should I send it to AMCAS/AACOMAS without the last quarter of Physics and then update the application when grades come out? Or wait and risk a later application? Both apps are done and ready to submit.

Wait until all your grades post. Get every A grade you can calculated into your application GPA. Schools will adjust as they have for decades. There is no bias against students from schools using trimesters.

If you expect your physics grade to boost your gpa, even just a little, wait and submit "late". As long as your transcripts are in by mid-July, you should be fine and every little bit counts when it comes to GPA.

I sent mine in before I got my spring grades but I didn’t really need the boost. Think it depends on what your current gpa is
