I have applied to a DO school through AACOMAS but am concerned about something.

In my personal statement, I discuss my being a PA student and my success in PA school. However, the policy of the medical school I attend is that for MD and PA students, they do not list any of our coursework/evaluations on our transcript until we actually graduate. I have an official letter from my Program Office stating this fact and attesting to my success thus far (I will graduate in a few months).

I sent this letter to AACOMAS and was told that they accepted this as proof as to why my transcript does not contain my PA coursework. I asked if they would forward this letter or at least let the DO school to which I applied know about this and was told "no."

Thus, the DO school I have applied to will get transcripts that show no evidence of my last 3 years of study at the School of Medicine's PA Program along with my personal statement which talks all about my studying in a PA program.

I am worried about how this looks without explanation. Should I email the school I have applied to with a copy of this letter? I know they don't want us to send things to them directly but I am worried they will just think my application is bogus and reject it immediately.

What should I do?

I wonder if you added this letter to the "other documents" section, if it would force AACOMAS to send it to your designated schools?

If what nirvakalpa said doesn't work, you could just upload the letter to interfolio and preemptively send it to the schools you applied to, it would then be added to your file. Otherwise, I would call the admissions office(s) and let them know...

Good luck.

I went ahead and emailed the admissions office with an explanation and copy of the letter.
