Transcript Request/Letters of Reference

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
its highly recommended that u include the form from pharmcas and the form from your school is to make it easy for them to send your transcript..so send both...

and i am going to thank one reference in person other 2 by email since they are very far from me...if i could i would have gone in person and thanked them too....maybe ill send a nice thank you card in email 🙂

I have two questions, I'd really appreciate some help.

1) Perhaps someone else has come across this problem. Should I use the Pharmcas transcript request form, or the one used by my university. The reasons Im asking is because the Pharmcas form doesn't have some the information needed by the universitys transcript office (Number of copies, level of Transcrip, and some others).

2) When do thank your references? (Right after they submit the Letters or right after you e-submit your application) Also, how do you thank them? By E-mail or by hand writing a letter?

Thanks! Have a great day🙂

Just ask the school to put the pharmcas form in the envelope with your transcript when it is mailed and fill out the schools form for them to process your transcript request.

i have a question.
i've asked my LOR writers to send them in through pharmcas...i want them to send in the supplemental ones to certain schools as well (western, USC--online). can we send in the same ones as the pharmcas ones?

second, can we send in the letters before we even submit the supplemental applications? i don't feel like bothering them again in a couple of weeks to send them in a second time..

Yes and Yes =)

I thanked my references personally rather than through a faceless e-mail or card that gets lost in the shuffle. Though I guess some profs like the sentimental value of the card, I felt fine without them.
