Transcript sent on May 18th, but AADSAS hasn't received it. Should I worry?

Hello,

I asked my school to send my transcript on May 18th, but AADSAS hasn't received my transcript yet. I am a bit worried that the transcript may be lost during the delivery.

I live in Westcoast. Is it normal to take more than one weeks for ADDSAS to receive my transcript?

Should I ask my school to send the transcript again by express to beat the date that ADDSAS sends its first batch of applications?

sry that I wasn't cleared. Yes, my school indeed sent out the transcript on 18th and they said it will take about one week for AADSAS to receive it.

i'd wait until wed/thurs before worrying at all. 1 week from the 18th was friday the 25th. then the office was probably closed for the 3 day weekend.

i know that posting that they recieved a transcript isnt asking much, but for some reason it might take a few days..

I would call the school and ask if they sent the transcript. Happened to me last year... things got "lost" in the registrar's office.

I sent mine out on May 19th ( 3 transcripts)...until yesterday on the status it showed only 1 school...So i called AADSAS this morning & the lady on phone said that she will put a note there.....& now it shows that they have received my 2nd transcript. I am waiting on 3rd one now..I would say call AADSAS good luck!

Whatever you do, it might help to relax a bit. I know applying is stressful and all, but good grief, don't get too worked up. You'll become a headcase in dental school!. 🙂

I noticed from previos posts that you are Canadian. Don't forget that the 18th was the friday before Victoria day, and the following monday (yesterday) was memorial day so that no doubt slowed downed the mail. Don't worry it will get there.

Hey, I sent mine on the 18th morning and I saw thata AADSAS recieved it today (29th). Don't worry, it'll be there soon. I live in the west coast as well.

I would call the school and ask if they sent the transcript. Happened to me last year... things got "lost" in the registrar's office.

I had a similar problem but it was AADSAS who dropped the ball. I had to have a transcript sent 3 times before they posted it to my account. Interestingly enough, I had postal service verification they had been received but AADSAS swore they never got them. About 2 weeks after the final one was signed for AADSAS posted it. All in all, it cost me almost 2 months of time because it delayed my GPA calculation. This transcript wasn't added to my account promptly which put me in the "high volume" time of September and October. If I were you, I'd keep on top of it just in case. If AADSAS doesn't have it posted to your account within a few days, I'd call them to double check.

Also, I might have misunderstood but I don't think AADSAS will send applications to schools until they are complete and verified. I think this means they won't send an application until the GPA is calculated and even if they got the transcript today it'd be unusual for them to have the GPA calculated in 48 hours.

Worry about aadsas? nah, they always do everything perfectly without any errors or lost items.

Seriously, if I were you I would pray mightily that all your stuff makes it thru addsas in a timely and organized manner, like everything else, it can be a total crapshoot!

No, AADSAS will not verify your GPA until you submit. If for some reason they have nothing to do, they might do it and then not give you the results until you submit. Either way, you won't know until you submit it.
