Transcript "Verification"?

I've seen many posts talking about transcript "verification", i.e. referring to the chain of events as "transcript received - transcript verified - GPA calculated".

Are "transcript verification" and "GPA calculation" the same thing? AADSAS calculated my GPA a few weeks ago and my transcripts are marked as "received" on the transcript page. Does this mean that the transcripts have been "verified"?

I think if your GPA has been calculated, that means your transcripts were verified.

Yeah, I think your transcripts have been verified when they are up because I marked that I received a B+ in physics I when actually, I got an A-. My mistake, but not only did they catch it, I received my own transcripts too, and they were right, I was wrong. I did have an A- afterall.

They will not start to verify your transcripts until every single one has been recieved. Depending on the time of year, it really can take a while to process your application. Usually July is when it really gets busy. Some people here who submited early reported that their GPA's were calculated in a couple of weeks. I remember submitting my application in August of last year and it took 6 weeks.

It seems like AADSAS is relatively much quicker at verifications this year, although it may depend on when you submitted everything. I sent in my transcript end of May and it was verified within 2 weeks.
