Well, as the title says, AADSAS should be mailing my application any day now. I am so excited! I'm going to send out my secondary fees today and get cracking on the two secondaries that I need to send right away (UPenn and Creighton).

Anybody else received verification?
 
congrats dude...they just received my transcript today...when did yours get there?
 
Wow. You must have overnighted your transcripts the 1st of june.

I mailed my transcripts the 3rd and they have not even received them yet. It takes up to 10 business days for them to verify they received the transcripts and 4-8 weeks to calculate GPA.
 
did you get your calculated GPAs? I'm excited to see mine b/c I have A+..but no minuses. So there are no scary surprises.
 
by verified do you mean that they have received it? or is this something extra

Last two transcripts arrived on June 10. I guess they don't have a lot to do so the 4-8 weeks is cut down to 5 days at this point in the cycle!

My GPAs are calculated (verified). If you have more A+ then your GPA will actually go down because they round to the A (4.0). If you had a lot of A- then your GPA would actually go up because they round up to the 4.0 from the 3.7.

Verified meaning they have received all of my transcripts, someone at AADSAS has reviewed my entire transcript and checked every grade I entered, and they calculated many different kinds of GPAs.
 
Mine was also verified and officially completed today. I called AADSAS up about when the first mailing (they haven't sent any apps out yet) would be but they said they didn't know yet.
 
Sweeet...hopefully I can join you guys soon in having a verified gpa.

Sad but true, if you have 180 credits of undergrad and taking 12-15 more (3 classes) on top, 0.03 GPA increase woild be getting A's in all 3 classes 😀😀
 
Can anybody say how long it took b/w the time their transcripts were received and the time it was verified?

Mine were just received on the 11th.

My first transcript was received on the 4th. However, the last one was received was on the 10th. I think it takes about 6 days to be verified. Although, at this point they are probably getting swamped with more transcript coming in. You should expect 6+ days.
 
My transcripts arrived the 9th and were verified today. Everything else on my app is complete except for my dentist LOR...I'm trying to decide how much nagging is too much when it comes to reminding him to submit. 😡

Im in the same boat with my professors. I kept giving heads up and when the day came I asked them how things are going, I got the "I thought it should be done in the next week".
 
Transcripts received 6/10 and 6/11...verified today (6/15!)

Still waiting on my dentist LOR.... 🙄
 
Do they wait until they receive your LORs before they send out your APP?

Or can they send out the app with just your verified transcripts?
 
So when you fill out the coursework GPA stuff, you put in the grade that's exactly as it appears on the transcript, and it automatically puts that as the "aadsas calculated grade". is it supposed to do that? and then they receive your transcripts and change that? or what?

They will not round up A- to 4.0 or B+ to 3.0, if that is what you are saying. A- is a 3.7, while B+ is a 3.3. I don't understand what you mean by "GPA with +/-".
 
If you look at "GPA Calculations" in AADSAS, you will see two columns. One is titled "Inc +-" and the other is "W/o +-". The former is your GPA calculated with + and - (i.e. 4.3, 4, 3.7, 3.3, 3 etc) and the latter is your GPA calculated with out pluses and minuses (A+,A,A-= 4.0; B+,B,B-= 3.0 etc). They do this because some schools use one system, while some use the other. It's a way to standardize GPAs for everyone, no matter the system used. Hope this helps.

Ok, but incl +- is there as well. I am sure schools will look at that column as well.
 
oh good point preomfs. I bet a lot of people have minuses that will be bumped up. That's cool for them.
 
Mine was just verified, one transcript arrived on the 8th and the other on the 11th. Has anyone heard when they are going to be mailing them out, or how often the mailings are?
 
Just got mine verified today! The most recent transcripts were received on the 15th and verified on the 18th. I can't believe how fast they got it done! Now its the waiting game.

Oh how I wish I was part of the "waiting game" crowd instead of the worrying-like-crazy-about-the-DAT crowd!

Same...do a lot of the secondaries have essays on them? I don't want to write any more...

Of my 12 schools, Penn is the only one with secondary essays...there are 4 (though the first one just asks about dental experience not included in your app- which is nothing in most people's cases), and I haven't done them yet, but they don't look to bad. The annoying thing is that there is no minimum or max length, so I have no idea how much is too much, or how much is enough.

I am jealous of the people who are done with their DAT and app and only have to wait for interview invites!
