Transcripts and AACOMAS

Well today my AACOMAS was updated but it shows that they received only 3/5 transcripts and the last date is 6/22. Should I go to the other schools and have them resent or be patient? I'm not sure if this is normal or if this is a "lost transcript(s)" case.

You should call AACOMAS to make sure that is right. If they don't have them, then send your transcripts again.

I contacted AACOMAS a few days ago and they said that 2/5 transcripts weren't there yet (it was strange because I sent those two first).

So I called them again today and asked them to look again so they did and found them. They were filed incorrectly so I recommend anybody having problems or delays to contact AACOMAS and have it resolved.

I would second this suggestion. I called to make sure mine were received, because I had them sent the 1st week of June and they had not shown up yet. They verified they did have them, and had it posted as such online less than 3 hours later.

The process is started! I read today that my applications have been mailed to the schools.

I called them about the transcripts because I sent mine over a month ago and they're listed as not received......the guy said it won't be posted until your application is processed. Anybody else have that same thing?

I just called them this morning re: my transcripts. The man told me that they have only received their mail through June 23rd (a week ago?). He told me as of that date, they had not received my transcripts. He says they normally run a few weeks behind in processing their mail, but right now they are only a week behind. The whole operation sounds kind of shady to me. 🙄

I just got off the phone with AACOMAS. Not a cordial answering service that is for sure. My profile said my transcripts were not there yet, but after I had the guy look, not only were they there, they had been there since May!

I sent them my transcripts before submitting my application. Should they have them when verifying? Would that make things go any faster? I shouldn't have to send transcripts AFTER I submitted the application, right?

I sent my transcripts in before I submitted and it took about a week until my application got sent to schools. With that said, I think it'll move quicker by already having your transcripts sent in.

Does AACOMAS request that you send a transcript request form to the schools that needs to be sent in with your transcript like AMCAS does? I didn't see anything but wanted to confirm before sending mine.

Yeah, did you get the guy? I think the only two words that come out of him are yeah and no.

I just turned in my application maybe on this past Monday and don't know how long I should give him until I ask him to move the transcripts into not received to recieved. it's kinda annoying. should I give him a week? I had them sent a couple weeks ago.

I say heckle aacomas until you get what you want from them. If they don't process your apps, you will never have a chance to get in--they had my transcripts for 2 weeks but didn't post until I called. I would bet that they aren't going to call the admissions committes at respective schools and tell them not to admit you. 😀

I'm jumping on the bandwagon with lost transcripts. They only do their mail once a week!!! I called, the JC that I needed the transcript from sent it.. hm.... kinda sucks when I submitted on June 9th and today is July 1st.. still no transcript received.. thanks for delaying my application!!! Grr... i think this is why people say apply early, because you have to deal with people losing your stuff all along the way!! 😡

How long after receiving transcripts does it take to process it? It says 4-6 weeks.. but this sucks, I submitted so early, yet nothing has been done.. all over this stupid transcript!!

Can someone answer how long it took after all materials were received, to be processed??

That's the specific reason why I was told to apply early. Most of my friends had their transcripts (among other things) lost in the process. Goodluck to you, at least it is still early in the game. 🙂

I've determined that they either do their mail on monday and update the website on tuesday, or they do their mail tuesday and update the site as they do it.

Seems like tuesday is the hotness for updates.

Anyhow, I had my transcripts sent on 6/2, but my account just got activated this past tuesday (never use MO unless necessary). I'm giving them till the end of next week before they start hearing massive amounts of phone calls from me.

From my experiences, I normally get updated on Fridays. I wonder if they do a certain letter of the alphabet on a certain date? For me, "P" would be on Fridays. Maybe JohnDO could shed some light on his last name and we will crack their code yet! 😉

By the way, that means today is the day!!!!

I'm waiting for my transcripts to be acknowledged by AACOMAS too! Nothing...been over 2 weeks here... I guess I'll call after the holiday.
