I applied for this cycle with only the transcript from my current university. I had forgotten that I took Japanese for one semester at a local community college and received an A or A-.

If I reapply this upcoming cycle should I include this transcript? Will it look bad that I didn't include it the first time?

Additionally, I plan on taking a gap year and during this year may take additional courses from this community college. Thought this might be pertinent.

Any help would be appreciated 🙂

Yes, you definitely need to include that transcript! If you don't submit it (regardless of whether or not you take additional classes this gap year), your application technically isn't accurate... which could cause BIG problems in the future. So yes, yes, yes, you need to submit that transcript as well!

If this was an honest mistake to not include it, I don't think they will hold it against you since AMCAS expects the application to be accurately to the best of your knowledge. It might give you a headache since they may have some sort of process to investigate it, but I find it very unlikely they would even uncover the transcript on their own (unless it shows up in the background check?).

Again, since you got an A in the class, you are only hurting yourself by not including it into your AMCAS GPA calc and list of courses. It might even come out a positive talking point in the interview. At worst, they will simply ignore it.
