transcripts to Glasgow

I know there are a couple threads regarding transcripts to Scotland, however I am still confused.
Why do we have to send transcripts to Glasgow (and Edinburgh) if we also send our transcripts to VMCAS?
In my case, I am only applying to Glasgow and Edinburgh through VMCAS.

Because you don't send your transcripts to VMCAS. You send them to each school you are applying to, in this case, Glasgow.

And make sure you mail them way ahead of time...because it's not cheap if you don't. 🙄
