What do you do with a Mom with 6 kids who transfers fluoride in and out every month to get $150 in gift cards ($25 per rx) every other month? I'm on the verge of telling her we can't do it anymore.

What company still gives out transfer coupons? I would speak to the company about having a limit on transfers.

Isn't the general policy that you have to be a new customer (no profile on file) in order for those transfer coupons to be honored?

We don't have that policy - I wish I was in charge of these things. We make a dollar on the fluoride prescription - so basically we hand them $24 for every rx.

As Mahatma Gandhi once said: "Don't hate the playa, hate the game."

If the company wants to run this ridiculous promo, that's their business. This woman is all too happy to partake, but why wouldn't you? It takes most people several hours to earn $150, but she's doing it and getting her kids Rx all done with virtually zero effort.

Talk to your pharmacy sup, if they say that it is ok just keep giving her the money, it is not coming out of your pocket. You may want to see how exactly she is getting these coupons and make sure that they are not copies/counterfeit, that has been going on a lot lately.

As far as I know you can not get $25 coupon for the same rx if they have gotten it before but it has to be same rx I mean same original date but if they have a new rx with diff ori date they can get it, also usually its 4 transfer coupons per household so they can only use 4 diff coupon at a time (read fine print it says that)

I would be careful also if you are gonna tell then no for the reason I mentioned above as they can call corporate and complain abt YOU. "Your pharmacist is not honoring Your coupon" and eventually you will end up getting call from your corporate to honor them

Personally I wouldn't care I would give them, companies have separate budget for those coupons. if you are not gonna honor it they will go somewhere else, may be different store and they will spend those dollars that at that store. so why not give them those coupons and keeps the sale tied down to your store

So, just talked to my PDM - they are eligible to get 4 gift cards per person - so counting spouse and 6 kids - she is going to get $800 in gift cards when all is said and done...crazy. I just find it annoying that my bonus is based on the store's profit and the gift cards come out of my store. I've given out over 10k in gift cards over the last few months - and we are losing money because of it.
