Hey!

So I spent this whole year undecided and finishing up nearly all my Gen Eds. Now that I'm doing Biomedical and Pre-Med I'm a bit behind, so I need to take summer classes. I've checked with my advisers and I can take General Chem, Trig, and Pysch 101 at the local technical college near my folk's place.

So the plan is to move back home for the summer and do that, since summer courses in total at that technical college... well somewhere around $1.2k compared to 6ish+ at my University. It didn't really strike me till now but will Med Schools look down on that? Going to a technical college to grab a few pre-req classes? I know they don't apply to my GPA either which worries me ever so slightly.

OP, are you current at a 4-year university? If so, the general rule/favorable rule is for you to do those courses at your current institution rather than at a community college or technical institute. And when you apply to med school you will have to put all the courses that you have ever taken after high school, regardless of which institution and AMCAS will compose your final GPA for you, so in a way, yes it will become a part of your GPA.

Good Luck!

Yes I am ^.^
For the summer though I move back home with my Folks so I'll be finishing all my math courses and social sciences at the local four year university.

I'm assuming it won't be to bad at all and I can explain that situation in any interviews etc.

Yeah I think that you should be fine. As long as it is a four year, since you are already at one.

Good luck!!
