What's up all, hey, I'm currently a first year student at Sackler school of medicince in Israel and want to transfer ASAP but I've heard it's nearly impossible to do so after first year and more doable after second. Sackler has a great program and I've learned a lot but it isn't for me. I want to transfer to a NY medical school. Anyone have any advice/input to help me get this done. What are some example of some legit reasons you have to have to transfer in? anything would help, thanks

Pretty difficult unless you have some dire need to be in NY (spouse, dying relative, etc.).

Go to http://www.aamc.org/students/applying/start.htm and click n the Transfer Policies link on the right side and follow instructions. You can get information as to how many transfer students are admitted per year. Your best chances may be at SUNY Upstate, which has 12 transfer students in it's current Year 3 class.
