I am currently a CC student who is looking for a university to transfer to. I have already finished all of my prereqs here at the CC and will be taking upper level science courses at the 4-year university. Here are my 2 choices

Rutgers University in NB- Big state school (over 30k students), pretty well-known outside of jersey I guess😕, ranked 64th nationally. My brother is a business student there so I guess it'll be a better transition for me😕

The College of New Jersey- Small state school (around 6k students), pretty good school (ranked 4th in the north region, 1st one is Villanova). People outside of NJ probably have never heard of this school though.

both schools will accept around the same amount of credits (60ish). Cost of attendance is also about the same.

What should I do? Does the name of the school matter at all? I would really like to attend a small university.

thanks!

Rutgers, if you can go to a well known school, it would prob be better.

hey bing thanks for your response. Do you think I should transfer to a big state university that is well-known to MAKE UP the fact that I went to CC to do my prereqs?

Yes. if you can do well in the upper level bios in a well known school, then I BELIEVE you will be in good shape.

Considering what you have said, attend the small one. I came from a small school (<2,500 students) and I got into dental schools just like the kids from the big schools did.
