Transferring Dental Schools

Is it possible to transfer dental schools? How does it usually work? How does one apply? What reasons do students usually have for transferring?
Is the student looked down upon by the school if the student attempted to transfer and was not accepted?

Rare but possible. I knew of one student who flunked out of BU but then transferred to Howard on full 'minority' scholarship.

If there's space due to attrition, and if you have outstanding grades for your past year, then yes, it's possible. I believe you usually have to apply well in advance, before the school would know if there would be space that year or not. So it's a shot in the dark.
