Soooo I've been waitlisted to both of the schools I've interviewed at and now am preparing for the worst (reapply). One of my biggest weaknesses on my app is my biology gpa. I have a 3.2 sgpa and bcp, which is hugely due to my 3.1 bio gpa and have averaged below a 3.0 in my intro bio courses. Although I should've applied for my school's postbacc program, I was foolish to not apply, so I did not take any classes over the fall nor am I able to take my winter quarter. So during my winter quarter, I plan on taking classes at my local college, which I heard is a lot easier than my 4-year university. Problem is, this college used to be called a community college, but now offers bachelor's degrees. How bad would this look on my application? Sure it doesn't have the name "community college", but would it look fishy that I transferred from a well-known university to an unknown local college?

Going back to a CC after attending a 4 year college is not a good idea, especially for pre-req classes. See if you can take some classes at another 4 year school.
