I'm a 2nd year optometry student at a medical school and I developed an interest into medicine because my goal in life is to go to developed countries and help people. I think by becoming a doctor I can do that, so does anyone know of a med school that will accept the Basic science courses I have taken?
If not in the U.S. does anyone know of any foreign schools that would accept it and still be able to do rotations to become a doctor in the U.S.?

think you pretty much have to start over. I'm a dentist and applying to year one of medical programs.

For such a highly individualized situation your best bet would be to contact individual schools. But it sounds like you're going to have to start again from year 1. They may waive some courses if you took something comparable.

I knew someone that was in optometry school that decided to go to medical school. He had to start from scratch which is understandable since the material covered may not be to the same detail.
