I recently began exploring the possibility of going to pharmacy school. My degree is in accounting so I will basically be starting from scratch with all of the prereqs. I have looked into several of the 6 year programs. My question is if I went ahead and took a year or semester's worth of prereqs at another school, would they allow me to transfer into the preprofessional program next semester/year assuming there was an opening? I have looked on their websites and am slightly confused.

Your best bet is to call the school you are looking to apply to.
Always, always get it in writing.

To my best knowledge, if you are applying as a transfer student, schools would not accept you into their 6 year program starting from year 1 or 2. You will have to take all their first 2 preprofessional requirements then apply as a transfer into their 3rd year or first professional year. These 6 year programs are intended for students right out of highschool.
