Advice Please:

If someone went to a Pharmacy School in the past and dropped out and reapplyed at another pharmacy school and did not put down that they were already in pharmacy school, could the school find out? This person has never used financial aid and has paid all dues at the former school. Financial aid was NEVER used and all balances are Paid. If the applicant does not disclose their past attendance at a pharmacy school can the new school find out????

THank You,

( Moral Police- Please Lay off ) Thanks.

If the school found out about the previous school, then they could through this said someone out of the school. They don't mess around when they say you are to give full disclosure. That said, I don't know how or why they would look to find this information out. If it were me, I certainly wouldn't take the risk. Also, unless this person dropped out mid-semester, why not transfer? I know not many schools accept transfers, but they are out there.

I understand full disclosure and consequences if they found out. The reason the person does not want to disclose is because they do not feel their performance at the prior pharmacy school will get them into pharmacy school but they are confident that their undergrad will get them in.

When applying, you have to provide informatio about all the previous coursework, not just the one that looks flattering. There are ways to find out, and if anyone has any hint of suspicion (and a gap in education/employment can be enough), they will either investigate, and then throw out the application for lack of integrity of the applicant, or simply not bother and toss the application without checking, because there are plenty of candidates who are just as good or better who do NOT have anything suspicious about them.

I dont think I was clear enough. Let me explain again. Is there anyway they can find out? Specifically how can they find out?

I understand it is wrong, I understand you have to provide all info, I understand you will get kicked out if they find out, I get all that, that is not what I am looking for. I want to know specifically if there is a way they can find out?

Do you understand that you are essentially asking us a for advice/information on how to scam the schools ? Hels already said there are ways to find out, I'd listen to her if I was you, she is an adcom after all. Now what are these ways, are for "this person" to discover from experience.

Well, if a person provides truthful information on his or her application at best of ability, then the person shouldn't worry about how the adcom will find out whether he or she is hiding something or not on the application.

If that someone did get in it would be to hard to lie about something that big for such a long time.

So why did you flunk out?

well I know this isn't exactly what you're wanting, but just think that for FOUR years at pharmacy school you would have to hope EVERY DAY that no one found out. so every friend/study buddy you made, you would have to lie to them, every professor, you would have to lie, etc. if ANYONE found out, it would be horrible for you.
it is a really big risk, because it is a small world and so many people/places end up being linked. I'd think twice.

Are you "this person" in question?

By the way, with that attitude your not getting in anywhere.

I really was not trying to be rude, I was obviously unclear in my original post and was just trying to get the information I need. I appreciate the, "you can get in trouble", "be honest", "lieing is bad", and other moral opinion posts but it wasn't what I was looking for. I am not the person in question.

Hels2007 said they can find out. I understand you are asking for specifics, but I would just leave at the fac that they can find out if they research it. Your friend should have taken the school seriously, I definitely would have.

To Cream:

so you were expecting people to give you answers that you wanted to hear.......

Tell your buddy to go call the school he wants to apply to and ask them your original question. I'm sure they will give you the answer you want to hear.

Btw, i don't think anyone who lied on their application are going to openly admit it. Are you expecting honest answers from dishonest students, lol.

They could find out through pharmcas assuming that person used it in the past. But I say if it's that bad, take a chance and go for it.
