Transferring

My girlfriend and I are currently applying to medical school. Of course many of them overlap, but currently we have differenct residencies, so are state schools could differ. Does anyone know how difficult it would be to transfer between state schools or any school for that matter after one year? With any luck we won't have to worry about this, but just in case. Thanks for the advice

You may have heard by now from someone else, but you are very very unlikely to be able to transfer schools. Only extreme cases are usually permitted, and then usually only after completing 2nd year and passing the first round of boards. Not what you were hoping for, I know. All you can do is hope for the best that you both can get into the same school or at least somewhere in the geographical area. Good luck.
