It seems like schools that accept transfers only do it after the second year is complete and the boards are passed. Does anyone have any knowledge of exceptions?

i transferrred after 1st year. That was becuase my original school and the new school had very similar curriculums and I had decent shelf scores, and i had a good reason to transfer (fiance).

Always look into it early, u never know what might can happen.

Omar, what school did you transfer too?

I am thinking abotu transferring because of where my family is and me being a single mom. I think that is compelling enough but who knows. I know of these schools that take transfers after first year depending on attrition...

Columbia
Mt. Sinai
Tufts
SUNY Stoneybrook

Thats all for now..

After some research..here are a few other schools

Suny-downstate
georgetown
temple
wake forest
case western
rosalind (formerly finch)
Tulane
Tufts
UMDNJ-NJMS

all basically allude to accepting people into the second year class IF space is available.

hope this helps
