I am just starting to look into different places to go for PGY-1. There seem to be a lot of TY programs, and I was wondering if anyone has a list of some of the better ones, regardless of what city they are in. Even a link to another thread on this forum would be helpful. Thanks in advance.

What do you know by "good" transitional programs, could you be a little more specific. I know about many many different transitional programs and would gladly share my opinions.

Do you know by any chance TY at Frankford Hospital in Philadelphia, PA? Would be great if you could share your opinion on that. Thanks.

This thread might be useful.

ahh, thanks neutropenic, i was especially looking for west coast programs so that thread helped a lot.

Here's one: Alameda County Med Ctr. Live in SF, <30 min commute to work over the Bay Bridge, 4 months (or less) of wards, much elective time, complex patients, great ICU month, program director is the most sincere resident and patient advocate I've ever known. Tough to match, but if you have a stellar record and/or a strong interest in working in a county setting for a year, give it a look.
