Hey all,

My practice is finally transitioning to full EHR. eClinicalWorks to be specific.

I am planning on using the templates I had from Fellowship which was a generic new patient and follow up template that I really liked. It was basically a normal exam and I would just edit it for any changes or make additions to it.

Couple questions:
1. Do you guys have any templates that you guys like specifically for large -medium joint exam? (Knee, shoulders, ankle, wrist, etc)? I think my current template is sufficient for neuraxial pain but doesn’t really cover some of the more sports type injuries well.

2. For patients on chronic opioids I have the standard language of checking prescription drug monitoring, advises against use of concurrent benzo, UDS checked or obtained, advised to decrease reliance on medication....anyother standardized language you’d add on there to CYA?

3. What are some psych screens you guys use? We just used PHQ-9 and pain catashtrophizing scale and opioid risk screen. Anything else I’m missing?

So far so good! I am still waiting for the prescriptions to go full electronic but once that happens and once all the patient's information is registered on eCW I think itll make for a really quick and easy work flow.
