Transitional+Advanced : DS160 length of program

I got admitted to transitional (2017- 18) and advanced (20😎 programs. I got a DS2019 for 2017-18 program which I am using to get J1 visa. In ds160 it asks for length of program duration. What should I put there.
How long is a J1 visa issued for?

Your gME office can help you answer this. But in general you should put the total length of training -- TY plus advanced. J visas can be good for 7 years. An extension for another 12 months is possible.
